Linux first test

My initial tests with a Linux version of our current Awareon prototype are a bit middle-of-the-road but I am pleased that it’s now working as “playable”.

RenderTexture doesn’t seem to work at all for my Linux test, at least not on the drivers I’m using for Intel (HD 4000) or AMD (6670). It may be an issue with Unity3D’s Linux builds or my implementation. That means super-sampling is out for Linux builds for now. My dynamic localization is out too. Although considering I have static / user-replaceable localization files working, I’ll probably just ditch the dynamically-generated ones (it was a fun test) overall.

Performance on Linux for Unity3D? Not as good as I’d hoped, but I’m crossing my fingers that it will improve over the next year or two.
